salary: gbp14.81 per hour

hours: monday - friday 9am-5pm

what are your responsibilities as an assistant controls accountant:

you will be primarily responsible for the delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. the reporting will be for internal management accounts including variance analysis and investigation within reporting deadlines for all intercompany items. this role does also include preparation of schedules for statutory reporting, the provision of internal and external audit information.

other main responsibilities include:

- performance of month end processes and posting of journals to complete the month end position for the company. this will include working with other areas of the business and group companies to ensure all required journals are accurately posted in line with the month end timetables

- answering queries from across the business on a timely manner

- preparation of balance sheet reconciliations ensuring full support for any considered risks and contingencies - investigate and resolve any identified issues

- provide information and analysis to auditors - this being internal and external, for quarterly, interim and year end audits.

- contributing to and supporting finance projects

you would need the following experience:

- stage one/starter of acca or cima

- experience with month end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations

- experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders

- working knowledge of sap fi

- advanced excel skills

- great communication with a methodical and accurate approach to work.
