adecco is assisting a local and reputable client recruiting for a mechanical assembler in carlsbad, ca. this is temp to hire opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career. as a mechanical assembler you will perform mechanical assembly of dental equipment, using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in an iso controlled production environment.

 

responsibilities:

  • reading, understanding and following written documents that describe the company’s policies, procedures, and methods used in manufacturing
  • understanding fda regulations and iso standards applicable to department operations and consequences of nonconformance
  • follow applicable manufacturing osha safety regulations
  • utilize a variety of tools such as a screwdriver, hand drills, pliers and special fixtures
  • completes precision cleaning of small parts using industry standard solvents and cleaning solutions
  • performs rework and repairs as required
  • perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
  • performs checks using a variety of gauges such as calipers and micrometers to ensure conformance to specifications
  • reconcile and maintain accurate parts inventory
  • interfaces with other manufacturing personnel and engineering on progress of assigned tasks
  • change job status in company’s erp system
  • monitor that equipment and facilities are kept suitable for their intended use: where necessary, communicating needs for maintenance, repair etc. to the production manager and technical service
  • actively participate and collaborate with other team members of the production team to ensure that production targets are met
  • communicating line status to assure all safety, quality and efficiency objectives are achieved
  •  

    qualifications:

  • minimum of two years of related mechanical assembly experience
  • previous cgmp and/or iso experience preferred
  • ability to read, interpret and follow diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures in english to accurately assemble equipment
  • ability to use measuring instruments such as caliper and scale
  • proficient in the use of small hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, nut drivers)
  • hand to eye coordination, agility and dexterity is required
  • basic computer skills (i.e. cut and paste)
  • able to perform repetitive assembly tasks ensuring expected level of workmanship
  • good organization skills and attention to detail
  • utilization of lean manufacturing techniques preferred
  • previous experience with made to manage (erp system) preferred
