cnc machinist
weekend shift (fri-sun & every other thurs) 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
performs typical machine shop operations.
ability to perform the basic duties and responsibilities of an industrial products cnc operator.
detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or other designee.
must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding.
perform inspection of machined product (including documentation of results).
completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
assist in other work areas, including but not limited to, pre-form fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operation and sand blasting.
maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
address all safety related issues immediately by informing the appropriate individual.
comply with ppe requirements at all times.
follows standard operating procedures (sops).
complete all other duties, as assigned.
education & experience
minimum four (4) years’ experience as cnc operator or equivalent technical machining certification/degree.
high school diploma/ged.
previous experience in setting up and operating a cnc machine in a production environment.
ability to work productively in an environment with a wide range of temperatures.
demonstrated ability to use handheld measuring tools including, but not limited to, calipers, micrometer, tape measures, etc.
demonstrated ability to read and comprehend engineering blueprints and/or customer product drawings.
due to itar compliance, this position requires candidates to be a u.s. citizen, permanent resident alien, or protected individual per 8 u.s.c. 1324b(a)(3)
physical requirements
able to frequently lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds, repeatedly.
able to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about the facility.
ability to work productively in an environment with a wide range of temperatures.
able to walk/stand a minimum of twelve (12) hours per day.
