Document control specialist - united states, atlanta

adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for document control specialists in atlanta, ga. the ideal candidate is a quality focused individual who ensures documentation and record keeping processes conform to regulatory requirements. the individual is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the documentation and change control process; including document revision process, change control board, and record archival.

pay: $20/hour

schedule: m-f from 8:30am – 5pm

roles and responsibilities:

  • issue and/or review all corresponding documentation for vero biotech products as per the established procedures.
  • maintain the document control system and assures compliance with applicable procedures and regulations, including filing, distribution and obsolescence as required.
  • supports all business functions in documentation related matters in accordance and compliance with all applicable procedures.
  • coach, and mentor personnel on the change control process and documentation handling practices.
  • revise and approve changed documents according to the established procedures. 
  • support and assists with the implementation of documentation changes.
  • participate in teams supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices (e.g., documentation control practices).
  • support and assists in the completion and maintenance of the product and quality systems documentation control and filing.
  • supports internal and external audits.
  • participates in and drives the continuous improvement of the quality processes.
  • support quality system initiatives such as standard and regulation updates, as required.
  • exhibit flexibility and adaptability by managing assignments in accordance with project priorities and by altering course of action when and where necessary.
  • other duties as assigned by management.
  • qualifications:

  • quality professional with 2-5 years of experience with document management in a regulated industry – pharmaceutical or medical device industries, with direct document control experience
  • proficient knowledge of quality systems within the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • excellent written, oral communication, and teamwork skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • strong organizational skills
  • detail-oriented
  • computer literate - intermediate to advanced word processing skills; competent in spreadsheet and database application; comfortable in networked environment
  • must be skilled in the use of ms office applications such as word, excel, powerpoint and adobe acrobat
