responsibilities for the material specialist position include but are not limited to:
responsible for ordering, expediting, receiving, stocking, and distributing spare parts and office / shop supplies. responsible for inventory accuracy, ordering, receiving, and shipping transactions.
wearing of the proper safety equipment is a must.
attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
recording of materials transactions such as receiving, distribution and usage via appropriate system transaction or computer program.
assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
assist/lead with the coordination of physical inventory counting.
shift:
hours: hours: 7 pm – 5 am but days of the week are tbd
length: 12 months
hourly pay rate range: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
qualifications:
high school diploma / ged
must possess sufficient skills to perform basic mathematical calculations
must possess experience handling equipment including and the ability to operate forklifts, medium and small sized motor vehicles
must have knowledge of traffic codes and regulations
must be capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs.
must have ability to work in shop environment
education requirements: high school minimum
hardware / software knowledge needed: microsoft suite, oracle or erp— supply chain systems
tools / equipment knowledge needed (i.e. calipers, forklift experience, etc.): fork lift, pallet jackets, hand held terminals
