service improvement adviser

about the role:

you will be part of an exciting, inspirational and creative multi skilled national team enthusing step changes in high quality care provision to enhance the lives of wellness of all our residents. for the role of service improvement advisor, we are looking for someone who will:

drive, facilitate and enrich the services you support with their service improvement journey across all care homes to achieve excellence in person centred care in every element of a resident's life and experience within our homes including; wellness/lifestyle, food & nutrition, care practice and environment/housekeeping

ensure regulatory compliance and offer expertise and support.

contribute towards the continuous improvement of all care services through involvement in projects, initiatives and service improvement team developments.

support and encourage colleagues within the home by providing guidance and specialist advice to establish best practice care and improve everyday lives and experiences of residents.

delivery of a range of themed workshops, home centric coaching sessions and targeted programmes which facilitate reflective and shared learning amongst colleagues and are tailored to the needs of the home and the individual residents.

this role will suit someone coming from a care background (older people), working in roles such as service improvement advisor, wellness/activities manager, catering manager or home/deputy care manager, ideally with multi-site/regional experience.

to be successful in the role, you will have:

specialist knowledge in at least one of the inspire aspirational framework areas: wellness, environment, food & nutrition and/or care practice

proven track record in delivering service improvements within a care setting (older people) and multi-site environment

excellent interpersonal & communication skills - able to engage, influence and constructively

able to create and manage relationships to deliver resident focused results using a mentoring and coaching style at a group and individual level

ability to recognise, challenge and support underperformance in terms of knowledge and skills gaps and motivate colleagues to rapidly improve

ability to network and create partnerships internally and externally, including influencing internal / external stakeholders

extensive knowledge of best practice in care including supporting a range of resident needs (e.g: dementia, parkinson's, diabetes), together with sensory and emotional needs and holistic care planning.

strong knowledge of best practice in person-centred care and an awareness that includes the care act, mental capacity & mental health act, equality & diversity legislation.
