Gardener/handyman - united kingdom, kensington, london

our returning client is looking for a gardener/ handyman for their property in kensington. the role requires someone to work monday to friday working 8-hour days (mainly 9 to 5) with an hour throughout the day for breaks. the ideal candidate would be well versed in all outdoor and indoor maintenance.

you will be responsible for always keeping both the front and back garden areas immaculate and although there a no lawns to maintain you will be responsible for:

· hedge trimming

· dead heading flowers

· tending to flower beds and evergreen beds

· leaf blowing

· jet washing

· managing the bin area

· cleaning: iron fencing, gullies and drains

· organisation and cleanliness of 3 planet rooms and garage

· inventory organisation onsite and offsite

internally you will be responsible for maintenance including:

· light bulb changing

· painting and decorating

· simple carpentry and electrical fittings

· building toys

· monitoring external contractors

· assisting house team with maintenance issues

· general ad hoc tasks and errands given by the family and pa

you must be flexible to perform some maintenance duties at another property in london and overseas on rare occasions.

requirements:

· proactive in sorting issues in timely manner

· good level of diy knowledge and able to think outside the box

· experience using garden machinery

· good level of horticultural knowledge

· physically fit and able to do heavy lifting

· able to prioritise duties

· non smoker

· full clean uk drivers licence

monday – friday

8 hour days (9am – 5pm)

start date: asap or will wait for the right candidate

20 days holiday + bank holidays

uniform provided on competition of trial period.

salary: £37,500 gpa rising to £40k gpa after an initial 6 month probation period
