Quality inspector/warehouse - united states, longview (washington)

adecco is hiring immediately for a quality inspector with the largest manufacturer of electric appliances and consumer electronic products located in bothell, wa.

as a quality inspector, you will perform essential reporting and inspection with pay starting at $27.33/hour, plus available overtime.

in this role, you will perform essential quality assurance functions such as inspecting products at various stages of production process, compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. assists with projects and tasks as needed.

quality inspector job details:

pay: $27.33/hour,

shift/hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

type: fulltime (40 hours / week)

length: temp 6 months; potential permanent hire at the end of the assignment

this is an onsite position in bothell, wa.

products we test/inspect:

cables/harnesses

mechanical parts (custom)

hardware (off-the-shelf)

electro-mechanical assembly products

 

description:

interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.

collects and enters production data for projects and metrics.

records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.

evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

prepares data or enters data into spreadsheets for analysis.

assist with training where applicable.

creates dmr reports for suppliers.

responsible for the quarantine of non-conforming parts.

performs fai’s

performs line audits

assists with presentations as needed

manufacturing/qa technician requirements:

associates degree or equivalent and minimum one-year related experience and/or training

read, write, and speak fluent in english.

ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of quality tools such as rca, 5-why’s and fishbone.

ability to build strong working relationships.

ability to perform investigations of issues.

ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear; and smell. the employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms. the employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
