general labor performs tasks involving physical labor in producing prefabricated concrete walls. the position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may build forms, assemble stud cavities, pour concrete into forms, finish concrete, and remove walls from the forms and place them onto trailers.
essential job functions and duties?performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in building prefabricated concrete wall.
build forms to prints.
build and install window and door openings
assemble wall studs using styrofoam, galvanized metal and steel rebar.
finishes concrete utilizing a variety of flat work tools.
maintains a clean work area: picks up all tools and equipment and secures work area each day to eliminate potential hazards.
performs materials handling.
ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. brings problems to the attention of the lead person, plant manager or hr manager.
requirements
basic math skills
able to read a tape measure within 1/16th of an inch.
able to communicate with co-workers.
previous concrete work experience preferred.
able to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.
self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
teamwork orientation.
