Finance manager - united kingdom, sunderland, tyne and wear
we are excited to be recruiting a finance manager for an excellent company based in sunderland. reporting to the director of finance, you'll play a key role in ensuring the business achieves financial objectives and reports are accurately produced in relation to costs, spend, budget etc.
key responsibilities will include:
lead and direct financial team to ensure company and departmental kpis are met.ensure compliance to all legal requirements that are defined by hmrc and other statutory bodies.lead on the finance plan preparation for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlook.own the integrity of supporting data that supports company.provide accurate and timely financial reports as required by business, provide information and present to md and fd.drive team to ensure month end and year end reporting is accurate and timelyensure the finance team are fully competent through training and appropriate certification / qualifications.work closely with other departmental heads to continually improve the quality of service and ultimately the business performance.work with and support the other senior managers to ensure that the business objectives are met.facilitate employee development reviews for the team through the performance manger tool and ensure regular reviews/feedback takes place to help team achieve goal status and development plans.participate in scheduled and adhoc management meetings and organise regular team meetings to support communications.manage employee performance through the appropriate forums and systems. the successful finance manager will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
cima / aat qualified or qbeminimum 2 years management experienceknowledge and experience of sageexperience of managing a small finance teamit literate with good knowledge of microsoft packages and systems and processes associated with this roleself–starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsconscientious, methodical and able to work under own initiativetask orientated with the ability to build effective relationships
