group financial accountant required for one of our established clients based in runcorn. the group financial accountant will be required to undertake a group finance role and will report into the finance director and assist with group reporting and budgeting. this is an excellent role for a highly skilled technical accountant who will gain exposure of group finances for a large organisation.

key responsibilities:

consolidation of the monthly group accounts and preparation of the monthly group board papers, incorporating; p&l, balance sheet and cash flow positions, key kpi's and supporting commentaryunderstand, manage and control group finance modelsassistance with preparation of annual group budgetassistance with preparation of group annual and interim financial statementspreparation of statutory accounts for all subsidiary companies and associated liaison with auditorsassistance with determining interim and year end corporation tax provision and associated computationscontrol the review and submission of statutory filings and ensure the relevant payments are made to hmrc relating to vat, paye, psa and p11dsmonitor divisional compliance with accounting standards and group accounting policiesimplementing new and / or updated ifrs accounting standards across the groupinvolvement in a variety of adhoc projects including assistance with potential acquisitionswhere necessary, producing, implementing and updating financial control policies and procedures key skills:

ideal candidates will be aca / acca / cima qualifiedknowledge of ifrs accounting standardsexperience of group consolidation reporting and statutory reportingprevious exposure to corporation tax, vat and paye would be beneficialexcellent excel skillsteamplayereffective organisational ability and time management skillshighly skilled technical accountant company /benefits:
