Nursery assistant - united kingdom, truro, cornwall

our client is looking to recruit a nursery assistant to join their nursery based in truro. with 18 nurseries across the south west, and over 30 years of experience in the early years sector, our client's vision and mission is to inspire childcare and education from an early stage, enabling future success through a positive learning attitude.

reporting to the nursery supervisor, the purpose of the role will be to build effective relationships and fully engage with children, parents and colleagues to delivery the best possible service and care. the successful applicant will learn how to create safe and stimulating environments in line with the eyfs and the ethos of the company. learning how to observe, assess and plan to support the individual needs of the children is paramount, whilst implementing safeguarding, health and safety and welfare policies to the best of their ability.

salary: gbp9.64 per hour

hours: full–time or part–time available, with hours flexible monday to friday between 07:30 to 18:00

all employees of the nursery will have legal duties under health, safety and welfare legislation while at work to ensure their personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.

preferred applicants will be able to showcase some or all of the following qualifications / experience

nvq level 2 early years' qualification or equivalent.level 2 safeguardingpaediatric first aidevident passion for working with children and delivering high quality childcare/early years' education.good organisational skills with an ability to plan own work and resources.ability to establish good relationships with parents – demonstrating a welcoming and approachable persona.good understanding of policies and practices within a childcare setting.knowledge of the eyfs and its practical application within a childcare setting. the successful applicant will benefit from our client's proud list of benefits, including:
