salary: up to gbp32,000 dependent on experience plus bonus and benefits

hybrid working pattern: where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working - such as this role is 37 hours per week, primarily based on site in stevenage, with some flexibility around start/finish times as part of dynamic working arrangements.

the opportunity:

the government stores controller's role will involve issue, receipt, packaging and management of stores and inventory and will also involve the loading, control and monitoring of work packages across all mod stock.

prepare the psa for audits by the mdd defence internal audit team to achieve full assurance for all gfe disciplines.produce quarterly assets in industry data report for submission to the mod asset accounting centre (aac).complete annual stocktaking certificate providing a breakdown of equipment stocktaken against each appropriate gfe loan indicator.manage the gfe annual stocktaking cycle, ensuring compliance with mod processes and report discrepancies to the aac.stock control using appropriate tools/systemsliaise on a multi-functional and multi-site basisensure storage process success for all customersload the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in line with planned lead times and cycle times, in order to ensure the completion of jobs within agreed manufacturing programmes, and delivery schedulesrecognise in advance any potential area of concern i.e. shortages, kit availability 2 bin replenishment etc. and highlight to the appropriate authority so remedial/preventative action can be taken.ensure the appropriate day to day controls are adhered to in accordance with company, quality and contractual standards/procedures such that continuity and efficiency is achieved without disruption.maintain the accuracy and topicality of all records included lineside visible controls. assist to implement and ensure the control of the kps and other manufacturing control systems, in support to schedule adherenceensure goods arrive on time and in undamaged conditionwhat we're looking for from you: experience of management of materials, parts and products within the manufacturing environmentteam working and influencing skills are of prime importance to the successful delivery of the team's tasksself-motivated, tenacious, able to take responsibility, results orientated and demonstrate and attention to details and accuracycompetencies such as resilience, interpersonal and influencing skills and customer focus are essential to the rolewhat to expect:
