our client has opportunities available as a quarry operative.
previous quarry experience is desirable but not essential. ideally you’ll have experience of working in construction as a machine operator. if you’ve driven 360 loading shovels, dumpers and forklifts, that would be perfect. training can be provided.
you will be responsible for the day to day operation of both the fixed and mobile plant.
the successful candidate must hold a current driving licence and will ideally hold a licence for heavy plant, however training will be given to a suitable candidate.
you will be self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team. you will also have a willingness to learn and be a good communicator.
hourly rate is between £10.50 and £11 an hour. hours are 7am to 4pm monday to friday with overtime available.
