the purpose of flow cytometry platform supervisor position is to effectively manage the flow cytometry platform, including all client studies, r&d work, and as supervisory role to flow cytometry team. the platform manager will need to to meet company's goals, objectives and quality standards.

key responsibilities:

- responsible for coordinating, assigning, and executing all experiments related to flow cytometry, scs prep, cell isolation, cryopreservation, etc.

- carry out work in strict accordance to sops and training sessions

- ensure the experimental process is carefully recorded by team, submit data and reports to supervisors in a timely manner

- analyse, summarise, and report experimental data and relevant documents to supervisors

- hire, train, and manage new and existing employees on the flow cytometry team

- effective communication with team, other group leaders, the global biomarker team and with other departments

- validate and execute new and existing techniques related to flow cytometry, scs prep, etc.

- approve and submit department orders relating to flow cytometry, considering budget and project needs

- be able to fulfil other tasks assigned by leaders

- quality control of flow cytometry lab equipment and prompt reporting of any issues to lab manager

educational and experience:

- bachelor of science degree or above in biotechnology, cell biology, immunology, oncology or other related disciplines

- 3+ years in relevant flow cytometry experience, including sample preparation, staining, and analysis

- 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or training role.

skills requirement:

able to quickly and effectively execute routine and advanced flow cytometry experiments (up to 18 colours) such as panel validation, qfacs, titrations, cryopreservation, tissue processing, pbmc isolation, etc.

- able to effectively be a team leader and quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to personnel or experimental process

- experienced with flow cytometer maintenance, operation, etc. especially relating to bd cytometers

- familiar with common flow cytometry analysis programs such as flowjo and kaluza analysis

- experience with statistical analysis and report generation.

- comfortable with using computing and functionalities such as excel, word and powerpoint

- time management and prioritisation skills
