looking for a kind, caring, and reliable carer for our 23-year-old quadriplegic wheelchair bound son with a mild developmental delay.
he is a fun guy, chatty, with a great sense of humour.
in his free time he likes to watch tv, use his phone or listen to music and read, meaning a lot of the time caring for him is very straightforward.
he enjoys outings in the local area, such as parks, restaurants or the cinema.
duties
theo spends the day at a centre in north kensington. you would typically collect him around 4-4:30, bring him home and stay with him until around 7- 8.
you would look after him - feeding, keeping his company, keeping his space tidy and similar.
this is around 20 hours a week position, split over the 5 days, though we are very flexible regarding the hours.
some help during weekends or holidays would be great if possible.
where we live and transport
we live in sw10, our area has good bus links (11, 22, c3, 19, 319, 328) and is very easily accessible from sloane square station, earls court , fulham broadway and imperial wharf overground.
about you
theo spends the majority of the day with his carers, and it is most important that you and he get on well, so you need to be kind and patient.
we will teach you his routine - experience is not necessary
the house is fitted with both a lift and hoist, and all necessary other equipment.
start date
we are looking for a carer to start as soon as possible.
