this candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance processes. throughout the implementation and maintenance process, this candidate should use data analysis to better understand quality reporting measures and improve processes
responsibilities
use manual and automated equipment to perform measurement procedures and document the results.
read engineering drawings and work instructions to comprehend the quality expectations of products and suppliers.
perform problem identification, resolution, scrap reporting and recommend improvements.
report and act upon quality performance metrics.
manage supplier and customer returns.
maintain equipment calibration records and manage re-calibration schedules.
participate in internal and external quality audits.
maintain awareness of business objectives and issues facing the organisation.
actively network across all business areas to gain the best possible solutions and savings.
candidate requirements
minimum 2 years’ experience as a quality inspector, ideally of precision machined components and/or in motorsport/aerospace industries.
strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry.
ability to read technical drawings and write reports.
proficient in outlook, word, excel and powerpoint.
ability to use cmm (coordinate measuring machine) system or willing to learn.
knowledge of sage or similar software.
analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.
