working environment

due to the expansion of our supplier catalogues, we are looking for someone to come and join our friendly team here in macclesfield to supporting elior purchasing and our suppliers in the management and maintenance of product catalogues

you will be responsible for maintaining supplier product catalogues for all changes to the agreed range and pricing. you will also lead projects to cleanse key parts of the catalogues as agreed with the procurement team.

job description

your key responsibilities as the catalogue administrator will consist of:

key accountabilities:

- onboarding of new supplier in respect of into unit pricing

- key point of contact for suppliers with respect to unit pricing and associated rebates

- communicate changes to price builds to purchasing finance

- support the link of product data through to starchef for menu management

- support smaller suppliers with full catalogue management, including categorisation

- lead best practices with catalogue data, including projects to improve the data

- help resolve any issues from catalogue audits

- ensure that buyer agreed base price changes flow through to sites correctly

- support quenelles / client benchmarking activities

- support shopping basket analysis

- implement range control lists to business segments

what good looks like:

- implement appropriate site pricing and range changes in a timely manner

- catalogues should be accurate, clear, and complete (description, categorisation, pricing, pack size, etc)

- demonstrates outstanding attention to detail

- raise opportunities/solutions on competitive unit pricing

- support the development of pricing strategy and make recommendations

- prioritisation and management of time and multiple projects

- general category knowledge

- clear communication on market variances

- good relationships with buyers/colleagues and suppliers

- some analytic tools and produce reports with clear conclusions

- professional at all times

- passionate about the role and approach all tasks with enthusiasm, dedication, professionalism, and care

- actively engages with the wider team by sharing best practices, feedback, and ideas

- ensures all forms of communication are accurate and appropriate

working pattern: monday to friday - 37.5 hours per week

skills and experience

the experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future catalogue administrator include:

- previous experience of data management ideally for 3 years plus

- analytical/attention to detail

- it system aptitude

- intermediate excel skills, with the ability to use v-lookups & pivot tables

- process orientated

- strong communication & good interpersonal skills

- ability to prioritise workload

- a team player with a flexible approach to work

- proven experience of using own initiative

- warm, friendly and genuine
