we have an opportunity for a specialist nurse to join their team of staff in the oncology department.

this is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. the role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

applicants should meet the following criteria:

registered nurse level 1 / diploma / bsc in nursing. or

registered nurse level 2 - relevant competencies for the role.

surgical oncology experience i.e. post-operative care

willingness to develop or already hold:

breast care course / module

lymphodema management course

advanced communication skills

teaching experience

audit experience

excellent organisation and multitasking skills required.

understanding on workload and shift management.

patient and caring approach to customer care

duties of this role include:

required to work closely with both medical and surgical oncologists

prepare and maintain clinical records of patient care, with reference to nursing midwifery council (nmc) standards for records and record keeping.

conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the nmc codes of professional conduct and the health and care professions council (hcpc).
