hours/shifts: we are currently looking for fixed regular weekly hours: friday 1.15pm-7pm (finish time can be negotiated) saturday 8am-6pm sunday 8am-1pm additionally, we have sickness/maternity cover shifts available: monday - friday 6.30am-9.30am tuesday & wednesday 2.30pm-7pm we employ a team of people who cover a variety of shifts. there will also be ad hoc shifts for holiday cover, babysitting evenings and when we attend medical appointments.
summary
we are a family of four with a 6 year old daughter, an 9 year old son and a cat (we also have a visiting dog). our son is severely disabled and we use funding through west sussex county council and sussex community nhs children's continuing care to pay for carers/personal assistants and we are looking to add to our team, this can be a single person or multiple people.
he is a full time wheelchair user and we have hoisting in the house to help with this. he has a feeding tube into his stomach which we give food and medications, he has medicine very frequently throughout the day. he can't talk or hold up his head, but he can smile and has a very cheeky personality. underneath all this he is just a little boy who loves being outside, harry potter and animals.
we can provide training on all the medical elements and we would be your employers so tax & ni is included in the hourly rate. we will require you to complete a dbs.
