Quality assurance auditor - united states, bay city (michigan)
our customer a technologically advanced manufacturing solutions provider specializing in electronic assembly has several opportunities available for quality assurance auditors on 1st and 2nd shift. you will be responsible for performing complex inspection procedures on all types of circuit boards (medium to large, complex double-sided) and assemblies to ensure quality levels are met at pre-ship and at the final stages of production. if your qualifications match the responsibilities below please “apply now”.
essential duties and responsibilities
makes intricate visual inspection of complex pre-ship and/or finished production assemblies and sub-assemblies to ensure conformance with quality standards.
verifies correct machine set-up prior to running assemblies.
selects and reads appropriate documentation from a broad range of reference materials.
selects inspection method (such as first article checks, sampling, or 100% inspection).
applies knowledge of electrical principles and interpretation of quality control standards in determining pass/fail of inspected part or assembly.
determines cause and effect of defects and refers findings to manufacturing facilitators for correction.
acts as final checkpoint for finished goods prior to being shipped to customer or end user
ensures parts conform to customer quality standards. moves parts to workstation for inspection, as necessary.
minimum requirements
minimum two years relevant work experience or equivalent training
strong reading, writing and math skills (multiply and divide units of measurements)
basic pc skills (opening and closing programs, keyboarding skills) and familiarity with ms windows
able to work independently and cope with changing priorities on multiple work cells
able to present information and respond to question from groups of managers and clients
ability to stand all day and lift 30 lbs approximately every 15 minutes
