Production supervisor b shift - united states, columbus (georgia)

adecco is assisting a local client in columbus, in for a production supervisor on their b shift. this position requires candidates to have a bachelor’s degree. candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of production and/or supervisory experience.

production supervisor:

  • make sure qcd indicators reflect customer expectations
  • define, together with the supervisors of the other shifts and the uap manager, qcdp targets for the gaps (improvement versus actual situation): ppm, pph, trs, absenteeism, number of accidents, improvement ideas…
  • monitor performance during the shift and report accurate data at the end of the shift
  • manage resources to reach results: adapt headcount to volume, etc
  • react in case of a problem: take care of immediate containment, call support functions, build corrective - action plans
  • replace gap leader when necessary
  • line manager of 15-25 operators who work on the same shift
  •  

     


     

    qualifications

     

    the ideal candidate will have/be:

  • minimum education level: preferably a bachelor’s degree
  • minimum of 2 to 3 years of production and/or supervisory experience
  •  

    skills and competencies:

  • operational knowledge of production methods (kanban, 5s, hoshin, tpm…)
  • strong sense of teamwork
  • strong communication skills
  • proven track record in upholding safety and quality standards
  •
