adecco staffing is working with a manufacturer in londonderry, nh who is looking for an additional material handler/light assembler on 1st shift! this is a temp to hire position.
job title:
material handler/light assembler
schedule:
1st shift- 7:00am to 3:30pm monday through friday
pay:
1st shift- $17.50 per hour
sign-on bonus:
$1000 sign on bonus after 60 days (eligibility based on job performance and attendance)
job summary:
responsible for organizing of material, keeping the assembly operators supplied with work and removing their completed work, moving completed jobs to the designated location, putting away full skids when they are full. as a material handler, this position does require going on a picking truck and going to location either very low or high.
roles & responsibilities:
will be required to get fork truck trained
accurate picking of material
operate material handling equipment
handle clerical demands of the position
other duties as required
operates assembly machines such as tape machines, bag sealer and other hand powered equipment in the assembly of kits
verifies safety equipment on machine and/or equipment is functional before starting the job.
works from operation sheets, prints, written work instructions and/or verbal instructions as necessary.
measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations.
assembles and/or sorts work pieces.
reports job operations/activities in sap
responsible for the quality of product produced from operations they perform.
cleans work station as required at end of job assignment or shift.
staging job packets via carts and/or skids
performs other related work as required.
required qualifications:
high school diploma or general education degree (ged) or 5+ months of related experience
physical requirements:
frequently lift up to 50 lbs
