Electrician - united states, springfield (oregon)

  • demonstrates strong background and abilities in controls diagnostics; plc, circuit board diagnostics, high-current power supply control systems, hvac controls, and opto controls etc.
  • demonstrates working knowledge of pid parameters/tuning.
  • installs new electrical conduit, wiring, and components to national electric code
  • routinely services: machine tools – manual and cnc mills and lathes, air compressors, vacuum pumps, dust collectors, hvac units, processing and cooling systems.
  • performs preventive maintenance, routine and emergency repairs.
  • troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctioning systems and components like variable frequency drives, and programmable controllers.
  • interprets engineering drawings and equipment manuals related to equipment.
  • performs replacement of major and minor parts, components, or entire systems.
  • performs overhauls on major equipment components.
  • provides recommendations regarding equipment maintenance and repair.
  • supports supervisory electrician when requested.
  • demonstrates attendance reliability, a team utility player attitude, and sound work ethics.
  • responds to on-call after hour calls--which may result in a simple telecommuting response or may require on site attention.
  • performs other duties as assigned.
  • qualifications/education/experience:

  • must be licensed by state of oregon: minimum of limited industrial journeyman card, lme.
  • basic knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • extensive electrical knowledge, able to use voltmeter and amp meter, megger, oscilloscope and other instruments.
  • two years technical training and 3-5 years maintenance experience; or 5-10 years combined maintenance and electrician work experience.
  • ability to take after hour calls, work in confined spaces and in high locations.
