Human resources manager - united states, nashville
our client, a global manufacturing leader, is looking for a human resources manager to join their office team in nashville, tn.
the hr manager will oversee, develop, and implement human resource programs across several business units. they will also be responsible for partnering with local and global leadership to determine long-term hr needs and plan accordingly.
responsibilities include but not limited to:
developing and implementing hr programs and initiatives for multiple business units with the organization.
leading hr functions including safety, training, labor relations, comp/benefits, payroll, etc…
supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation of retention of employees.
supporting site leadership teams and providing direction on talent management, employee relations, change management, performance management, safety, wellness, and other people initiatives.
promoting safety culture that is focused on accident and lost time prevention, and reduction of worker's compensation costs.
ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory compliance agencies as it relates to labor, wage and hour and employment laws; and support company’s policies and commitment to affirmative action.
handling workplace investigations, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
qualifications
bachelor's degree in hr or related field
at least three years of experience as an hr generalist, hr manager or similar
experience working in a manufacturing environment and supporting efforts for continuous improvement.
proven success with planning and managing multiple projects at once
fluent with ms office and hris platforms.
phr/sphr preferred.
