position overview: the safety coordinator supports the implementation and overseeing of safety at work. their main duty is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to the company and regulatory requirements.

essential job responsibilities:

  • conduct and coordinate new driver orientations
  • provide support and serve as a backup to operations when needed
  • assist the recruiting coordinator with applicable tasks
  • support the training and certifying of the driver instructors and driver trainers
  • participate in recruiting qualified owner operators and company drivers
  • be an active partner and provide support for ongoing and corrective with action driver instruction and training
  • assist with accident investigations and reviews
  • provide support with the training and certifying of container lift and yard truck operators
  • job requirements

  • basic clerical skills
  • after training, the incumbent should be able to:

    conduct cmv driver safety instruction, operations instruction and training & container lift and yard truck instruction and training

  • possess working knowledge of fmcsa
  • have a complete understanding of fmcsa part 395- hours of service of drivers
  • understand intermodal and transportation
  •  

    pay is $20.00 per hour
