the salary for this position is gbp62,363 - gbp70,414 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

our vision: to provide our customers with a better tomorrow our mission: to responsibly deliver a first-class customer experience our newly redesigned workforce is integral to achieving our aims and ambitions for the future and we are looking for an experienced leader to join our senior leadership team as head of change management. your ability to drive the vision and mission through a "one pensions team" culture is crucial and applicants who can demonstrate this will be considered, irrespective of whether they have a pensions background. if you have these leadership capabilities, you will be supported to gain any technical expertise required.

heading up the change management team you will manage delivery of improvement programmes including employee engagement initiatives across the service. exciting, innovative and service driven change requires communication to internal and external stakeholders. we also need the team, employers and members of our governing bodies to have the right tools and development opportunities to help deliver positive change. therefore, the role is ideally suited to lead on the communications and training strategy of the 'one pensions' team.

you will work collaboratively with your leadership peers focussing on holistic and integrated priorities agreed through challenge, continuous improvement and collaborative consensus.

we are therefore looking for someone who is able to:

provide proactive and professional leadership - the ability to anticipate areas of challenge and risk and use prior learning to plan for the future by taking a calm and organised approach and utilising team strengths.

improve performance by strengthening skills and competence - we're looking for someone who is able to inspire and motivate the team, someone who is able to capitalise on areas of strength and successfully manage areas of development.

foster a strong culture of standards and accountability - the newly designed pension team has been designed to break down existing silos and operate as an integrated flexible team who take ownership. we therefore require leaders who are able to drive the culture needed to support this new approach

responsibly deliver a first-class customer experience - the customer is front and centre of everything we do and we need a leadership team who are able to bring that concept to life across the whole of the pension team.

taking a holistic 'whole pensions team approach' will drive opportunities for all staff to increase their career opportunities by broadening experience across the whole of the pension service.
