v7 are currently recruiting an mechanical fitting engineer on behalf of a market leading company providing engineering solutions to uk utilities companies! our client are a national company looking for engineers in the leicester area. in return they are offering: competitive basic salary extra 2 hours base pay when working away call out 4 weeks in the year gbp200 standby pay paid travel scheme (from accommodation to site and vice versa) vehicle or car allowance provided holidays paid at an accumulative rate based on gross earnings overtime regularly available personal progression program ideal candidate: competent, reliable and hard working strong work ethic jibs/ecs or equivalent qualifications (desirable) sound knowledge of industrial mechanical installation and maintenance. basic knowledge of health & safety issues in connection with the construction industry ability to record detailed and accurate repairs information relating to jobs ability to prioritise workload and work in a systematic and organised manner to ensure work is completed within set timescales ability to carry out site inspections and compile survey reports for quotation purposes welding and fabrication using mma.( tig welding desirable but not essential). conduct work activities in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the company duties include: repairing mechanical equipment. installation, commissioning, setting up and testing of mechanical/electrical equipment and controls. working out on customer sites across the country. working in workshops as required at any of the company locations. stripping and rebuilding machinery/ pumps/ heavy industrial equipment. planned preventative maintenance (industrial equipment & pumps). carry out site inspections and compile survey reports for quotation purposes. access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment. carry out fault finding down to component level. to work as part of a team and to co-operate with other staff / trades. if interested apply here or contact me at for any further information you may require! v7 recruitment are an equal opportunity employer who are acting as a employment agency in relation to this vacancy
