Pastry chef - bahrain, juffair
Job purpose
to manage the central production unit including product planning and development, staffing, maintain the quality and cleanliness of the production unit adherence to food hygiene standards.
job duties
manage the day to day activities of the pastry and bakery section. production, preparation and baking wide variety of bakery products such as cakes, cookies, pies, muffins, bread, desserts etc. while maintaining the standard operating procedures. develop, design or create new ideas. train and supervise workers, prepare work schedule, recommend for hiring, termination and retention of cpu staff. lead by example to team members. ensure proper sanitation and safety standards.
job qualifications
graduate of any related course with a combination of education and experience
excellent knowledge in baking and pastry as per specification
ability to use proper baking techniques
creative in designing, product and menu presentation
excellent english communication skills both oral and written
excellent coordination and organizational skills
ability to handle multiple projects and follow instructions
working conditions
the head baker/pastry chef may be required to work extended hours as per operations demand. flexibility and increase of mental stress levels of the position. this position will be required to work under pressure in order to meet the deadline.
