the jr. telecommunications analyst’s role is to assist the telecommunications analyst with coordinating strategies for – and ensure the integrity of – in-house voice, data, and its associated network connections. this includes supporting all telecommunications assets and engaging vendor and service providers for support. the jr. telecommunications analyst’s mandate will be to assist with maintaining slas for all organizational telecom applications.
daily assignment
submit and track disconnect orders for all types of services.
disconnect orders for store closures, relocations and when a change of service occurs.
research and validate disconnect orders when complete, billing ceased, and appropriate credit was issued.
review quarterly reports to ensure billing is accurate. act on questionable items.
where necessary, liaise with equipment vendors during installations, acquisition negotiations, and hardware performance issues.
assist with the installation and troubleshooting of telecom systems.
generate telecommunications usage and network traffic reports.
perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of telecommunications problems with relation to billing and invoices; recommend and assist with implementing corrective solutions.
formal education & certification
college diploma or university degree in the field of telecommunications or computer science and/or 1-3 years of experience
certifications in telecommunications a plus
knowledge & experience
working technical knowledge of telecommunications accounting systems.
strong hands-on knowledge of the optimization of telecommunications practices in a large enterprise environment
working technical knowledge of current telecommunications practices, protocols, and principles in call center environments
knowledge of cabling and wiring systems, design, and installation.
ability to operate computer components, peripherals, and associated accessories.
