a1 construction (reading) ltd is a family-run business that has been operating in reading and the surrounding areas for over 25 years
we are currently hiring for a general labourer to assist our builder.
the role: general labourer:
canditate specification :
assisting our builder with general day-to-day duties to include setting up the site for the day, handing tools and materials to our builder, keeping the site clean and maintain an organised van. full training will be given and learning on the job will be required which will lead to labourer performing independent tasks.
jobs include excavating foundations for extensions, working on roofs and on scaffolding. building work and refurbishment work. installing steel beams on site etc.
opportunity for overtime/ weekend work.
working in domestic settings only, so will need to be polite and respectful at all times.
skills required:
uk driving license/own car not essential but good to have.
good communication skills
ability to learn and develop new skills.
must be psychically fit as the role can be psychically demanding and hard work.
an honest and reliable individual who can be trusted to represent our company.
