hours/shifts: this is negotiable but to start with we would anticipate a morning and late afternoon visit each day, six days a week

summary

mum's eighty-eight and in good health. mobility aids such as a stair-lift mean that she can still enjoy her home in horsham. she looks after herself, but is in increasing need of regular visits to do the basics - or assist with the basics. at the moment this does not mean intimate care: it means checking medication, assistance with a shower, and the kind of checks that put her mind at rest.

we're looking for someone friendly, in the hope a friendship will develop. this is not a job for someone under terrible time pressure who can't arrive, relax, and take an interest.

• non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.

• must have a uk driving licence

domestic -

we need someone proactive who will see what needs doing: tidying, checking bedroom etc

the successful applicant will be:

• female due to personal care needs

• respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality

• reliable with good time-keeping

• able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

• hygienic, tidy minded and well organised

• honest and cheerful

• creative

• able to speak and read english to a reasonable standard

• legally permitted to work in the united kingdom

• able to work at all times to high standards of health & safety

previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
