project overview: people analytics is known internally and externally for ensuring data and research informs every people decision. within people analytics, the business intelligence team performs the role of analytics engineers, making sure people data is available, useful, trusted, and secure. we develop and maintain the company's hr data warehouse, dashboards, and reports used by thousands of internal users across all levels of the company with an eye towards performance and code maintainability. we transform data to meet business priorities and provide the robust data foundation & consultation to enable data-driven hr.
overall responsibilities: as a migration support analyst on the business intelligence team, you will partner with business analysts to migrate business-critical sql scripts from our legacy, relational database to our new suite of analytical tables and metrics functions. you will provide documentation, training, and support to analysts and business users.
skill/experience/educationmandatory- ability to review and edit complex sql scripts joining multiple tables, using macros, functions and imports - ability to query analytical tables with arrays and structs - ability to provide helpful user support to analysts regarding analytical tables - excellent attention to detail and focus on data accuracy.
desired- excellent communications skills and solutions, and client service-oriented with an emphasis on creativity and diligence. - ability to self-direct work in an unstructured environment. comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working autonomously at times.
