Laboratory assistant/ phlebotomist -shelton, wa - united states, longview (washington)

we are seeking a lab assistant/phlebotomist to join our team in the shelton, wa area! we have morning, day, and night shifts available! you will be responsible for accurate and efficient specimen procurement, specimen processing, and specimen distribution including collecting, preparing specimens for testing, and distribution body fluid samples, as well as providing patient and client services and other clerical duties.

responsibilities:

assessing patients prior to obtaining sample and following sop for sample collection and testing.

obtaining/ collecting samples from patients and distributing in an accurate and efficient manner.

will centrifuge the specimens and prepare components of specimens according to the test to be performed, while adhering to test specific special handling techniques.

will perform computer functions related to client services, order entry, and specimen distribution, as well as preparing paperwork and samples to be sent to laboratories.

will perform clerical work such as record keeping, filing, delivering, and mailing reports.

qualifications:

previous experience is a plus  but not required!

strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate as a team player.

ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

must have washington state medical assistant phlebotomist certification

valid driver’s license required.
