Medical lab tech/ medical tech - shelton, wa - united states, longview (washington)

we are seeking a medical lab tech, or medical tech to join our team in the shelton, wa area! we have morning, day, and night shifts available! you will be responsible for accurate and efficient specimen procurement, specimen processing, and specimen distribution including collecting, preparing specimens for testing, and distribution body fluid samples, as well as providing patient and client services and other clerical duties.

responsibilities:

provide timely and accurate test results to laboratory clients and functions as primary resource for analysis of tests.

performs specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient results.

confirms abnormal and critical values, verifies quality control procedures, and develops solutions to problems concerning the generation of laboratory data.

adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies, and  equipment policies.

performs testing and maintains records that demonstrate that samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.

qualifications:

previous experience is a plus but not required; we accept new grads!

strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate as a team player.

ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

must be washington mt or mlt certified

must have ascp certification, amt license, abb, or nca
