we have been a recognised and established insurer since 1877. we combine our traditional values with innovative underwriting, giving brokers access to a long-established, uk domiciled insurer. we underwrite classes such as property, general liability & professional indemnity. we also underwrite binding authorities through mga’s and independent brokers.

we are now looking for an experienced commercial property & liability package underwriter that will be based in our essex office, who has the drive and determination to achieve targets and grow within an existing team.

the ideal candidate ideally should have experience in underwriting commercial property & liability package business.

responsibilities but not limited to:-

underwrite new and renewal business and mta’s
develop and manage relationships with both new and existing insurance brokers
work closely with internal staff and team members
administer policies

essential skills & experience required:-

excellent organisation and communication skills
self-motivated with a desire to achieve targets
being a team player as well as be confident to work on your own initiative.

package includes:

salary circa 25k
25 days holiday
immediate 3% employer pension contributions increasing to 5% after 5 years’ service
healthcare cover after 3 years’ service
death in service life cover after 3 years
