Full time communication support worker for deaf adult/ part time evening and weekend respite worker - united kingdom, bonnyrigg, midlothian
we live in bonnyrigg and have a 28yr old son who is deaf and autistic. he went to donaldsons. he is very gentle with no challenging behaviour. he works monday to friday at 2 day centres in edinburgh (garvald and tiphereth) doing wood work, weaving and pottery. he also has 68 hours per month in evenings and weekends allocated for respite.
our son’s 1:1 interpreter who has worked with him for the last 10yrs is returning to her home country, spain.
we are looking for 2-3 people to replace her. do you know anyone with at least working towards level 2 bsl looking for a full or part time job with a good salary of just over £26k for 35 hours a week and potentially lots of overtime if wanted.
must be gentle, kind, knowledge of autism and preferably able to drive.
