about this client/child:

theo is 10 years old, and his sister iris is 7; each is the other's favourite person! the children are full of energy, inquisitive, keen to learn, and very active. theo adores tennis, he also cycles, plays hockey, football, and cricket, and enjoys going to the park with his friends. his quieter time activities include playing board games and chess, and he also loves pokemon and star wars. both children love music; theo plays the guitar and iris the piano. iris also loves reading, painting and creative/imaginative play, cooking and cycling - and playing pokemon with theo. theo is diagnosed with autism. he is in a mainstream primary school, with 1:1 support and input from salt and ot, and is progressing very well. his main area of need and support is; social communication and self-regulation. the family requires an sen nanny/manny with autism experience and oodles of energy to support the children after school and during school holidays.

overview of role:

the sen nanny/manny will complete school pickups, accompany the children to afterschool clubs and activities, assist with homework and arrange/support play dates, and provide fun, engaging, stimulating, and developmental play, experiences, and day trips. the days have a lovely balance of educational, stimulating, and fun activities, (lots more details on this when you speak to snap care). duties also include food and snack prep. this position is very much a team effort. you will work both in a sole charge and shared care role alongside the children’s mum. there is a strong bridge between theo’s family and his school, and you will be involved in sharing ideas, strategies, and resources with the professionals involved. open communication is key, as is the ability to use your own initiative. the sen nanny/manny will be willing to pitch in as and when required to keep family life running smoothly.
