two repairs surveyor jobs– for housing association, one covering lincolnshire and one for northants/p'boro a large housing association have two vacancies for dis–repair surveyors– one to cover lincolnshire and one to cover northants/ south leics/ peterboroughmain purpose of jobworking as part of a new team dedicated to dealing with legacy dis–repair claims. you will assist the regional repairs manager to manage the responsive repairs and voids contract, ensuring that homes are maintained in accordance with agreed quality standards. as this is dealing predominantly with dis– repair claims there is a big emphasis on mold and damp inspection and reporting. you will need to take photos, write reports and engage with external contractors. you will contribute to ensuring the delivery of a customer focussed, effective and value for money service, reflecting the highest standards of service excellence.key tasks and responsibilities1. to ensure that responsive repairs and voids are completed in our rented and leasehold properties within a defined patch of properties, in accordance within agreed budgets, quality standards and timeframes.2. carry out inspections of works in our homes to ensure that they meet required quality standards and ensure that any follow up work is satisfactorily completed. emphasis on damp and mold3. ensure that all statutory health and safety requirements are adhered to.4. work with our housing services teams to prioritise void repair properties to ensure that properties are let as quickly as possible.5. assist the process of handing over new properties ensuring that they are added to the existing repairs contract and any outstanding repairs are completed to our satisfaction within the warranty period.6. ensure that all it systems are updated, and repairs processes are followed in a timely manner and in accordance with the requirements of the contract and agreed processes.7. deliver an effective, customer focussed service reflecting the highest service standards, including ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a professional and timely way.8. ensure that customers are completely satisfied with all works in their homes and any complaints are managed in a timely and sensitive way.9. assist the regional repairs manager to coordinate and administer any planned work programmes or major repairs as required.10. forecast, monitor and control delegated budgets within your area of service, including recommending and taking remedial action where necessary.11. carry out stock condition surveys and collect energy efficiency data in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.12. support the property compliance team to fulfil their responsibilities as required, including visiting properties as required and arranging works to our assets to ensure property compliance.13. responsible for ensuring excellent contract administration is in place for all projects, including raising orders, processing variations, coordinating inspections and payment processes using our it systems.14. assist with the coordination and planning of regular liaison meetings with contractors and residents.15. ensure that tenants are effectively consulted and informed of all works.16. assist with the production of performance reports for your area of service and to ensure that targets are met, including identifying problems and taking action as necessary.17. play an active role in maintaining, developing and implementing it systems.18. work collaboratively with other teams to deliver results.what you'll need to succeedan experienced surveyor with a strong social housing background and knowledgable about damp and mold.you can be from a trade or degree qual background. you may also have worked for a contractor .what you'll get in returnflexible working options available. what you need to do nowif you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up–to–date copy of your cv, or call us now.if this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
