Vehicle mechanic / technician - united kingdom, faversham, kent

we have an opening for a full time vehicle mechanic / technician. we are a well established, small family run, busy business carrying out all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance with an mot lane based in faversham (kent) and we pride ourselves on being honest, fair, and doing a good quality job first time with no hidden extras.

the right candidate should have the following skills:

- five years + experience

- nvq level 3 qualification or similar (or at least be able to demonstrate competence in your work if you don't have papers)

- able to carry out basic maintenance to a high standard (servicing, brakes and suspension, exhausts etc)

- must be comfortable with clutches and cambelts.

- must be comfortable with all makes and models

- electrical diagnosis skills would be a bonus

- mot licence a bonus, although training can be offered

- ability to talk to customers from time to time

- computer knowledge will be required

we work a 40 hour week, monday-friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm, with an hour for lunch. we offer 28 days paid holiday, including bank holidays, with an extra paid day off for your birthday. we also offer a company profit share bonus to employees, paid once annually. free parking is available on site.

pay will be negotiated dependant on experience, skill, qualifications and a trial period but could be anywhere from £25k to £40k.
