Live-in part time housekeeper and gardener/handyman couple - surrey hills - united kingdom, dorking, surrey
an experienced live in proactive couple is required for 6 bedroom house set in 30 acres in the surrey hills.
the housekeeper will be responsible for the day to day care of the 6 bedroom house. duties include cleaning, changing beds, laundry, ironing. ability to spot what needs doing without supervisions. there will also be occasional help with entertaining. cooking skills are desirable but not essential. occasional driving to run errands. must have at least 5 years experience of working in a private household to a high standard.
the gardener/handyperson will be responsible for grounds maintenance, including pool. a good understanding and experience of caring for plants, trees and hedges is essential plus general maintenance skills for 30 acres. knowledge of garden machinery, strimmers, hedge cutters, chain saw, mowers and enthusiasm to clean cars is highly desirable.
loving cats is essential as you will assist with feeding and looking after them including house sitting when the principle is away
20 hours per week per person with ability to commit long term
must be self employed
a separate three-bedroom cottage is provided
non smokers
no dependants
no pets
one-week trial to see how seamlessly and well the candidates will fit in the household, followed by a permanent contract with three months of probation.
