adecco has partnered with a global manufacturer to identify an engineering manager responsible for safety, equipment reliability, costs control, and continuous improvement in assigned unit with a 24/7 operation employing 1100.
the engineering manager
provides leadership and guidance on engineering and reliability projects across a multi-disciplined and cross-functional team
manages the reliability and maintenance strategy to ensure equipment downtime is minimized and preventive management and continuous improvement programs are in place
handles all grievance activities both labor and safety for the listed areas
spends most of their time on the shop floor
has capital projects, maintenance and operations budget responsibility
oversees 7 direct reports, 5 indirect reports, and manages a department of roughly 50 salary/unionized labor
experience desired
10+ years supervisory experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting
experience in a unionized plant environment and experience in cba discussions
bachelor in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline
position offers
salary $125-145k with 14% bonus eligibility
