gi group is looking for an experienced senior hr officer willing to jump in to a very hand on and busy hr role that offers tons of development and career progression. this role is based in a manufacturing setting giving you a large exposure to varied hr tasks. right person will have at least 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing company.

you must have:

* cipd qualified or in process

* hr degree

* senior hr experience

* resilience

* manufacturing background

about the role:

you will be involved in varied hr related tasks and become a go to person for a hr assistants internally and externally. this role might involve few trips to visit other sites within uk to gain the understanding of the companies size and people working in the team.

employee lifecycle:

* provide hr support for employee life cycle activities (joiners, leavers, absences, exit interviews)

* proactive involvement in employee & freelancer inductions, undertake when required

* create and provided the casual worker, permanent and freelancer contract production to ensure all contracts are prepared in accordance with company guidelines

* oversee probationary review process, supporting managers with any issues/extensions/exits

recruitment:

* assist internal recruiter in recruitment as and when required in posting adverts and interviewing candidates

* advise managers of recruitment process, when needed, ensuring processes are followed

* maintain and file all job descriptions. update and amend as required

advisory:

* advise managers at all levels of company process, policy and procedures

* advise on employee relation issues, with practical resolutions in mind

* be present, note take and provide support on legal processes as required by head of hr

compliance:

* maintain and demonstrate compliance knowledge through advisory, and creating strong processes

* display legal compliance through working with company best interests in mind

* provide strong knowledge on ir35, parental leave, holiday, disciplinary and grievance procedures and others as required

engagement:

* identify and find solutions to engagement issues, presenting new ways of working

* initiate and assist head of hr in wellbeing & employee engagement

* project manage engagement initiatives fully

* provide insight in engagement trends, and ways to enhance current offering

* work with building teams to ensure employee spaces are well maintained, and provide practical measures to enhance, and improve with employee feedback in mind
