adecco is hiring immediately for engineering technician with a local client in austin, tx. engineering technicians perform essential duties with pay starting at $24.20/hour to $30.80/hour, with overtime.
responsibilities:
perform routine electromechanical technical functions and activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics, and electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools, and test fixtures
may test and troubleshoot system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems. may perform new system and npi installations and field upgrades
works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or plans to perform routine testing, and troubleshooting
compile logbooks and test procedures documentation utilizing good writing skills
may perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum and process testing on certain platforms to engineering and manufacturing documentation and specifications
observe all safety standards and maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment
attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures, and practices. promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or safety dept.
follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly
actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries.
become familiar with current manufacturing and/or engineering processes
may perform rework, because of testing
generate quality notifications
requirements:
bachelor’s degree in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline or associate degree in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline or military equivalency in a technical discipline
2 to 4 years technical degree – (examples: eet 2 or 4year, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, aeronautics engineer) or military equivalence. (tank, helicopter, aircraft or nuclear maintenance technician or 10 years of demonstrated test technician work
previous experience with use and understanding of a multimeter ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
following safety protocols, including lock out / tag out
ability to work flexible hours, and overtime as needed
apply basic analytical skills or scientific methods or operational processes to perform straightforward activities
understands how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others
problem solving other duties are required, as assigned
clean room environment includes gown, booties, gloves, face mask, goggles,
steel toe safety shoes (all provided by client)
must be able to lift 35 lbs, standing long hours, bending, lifting, and twisting.
use of various hand tools to perform role
also, will use multimeter, schematics, automated testing software, lockout – tagout in daily execution of role
ot and weekend work (saturday and/or sunday) required, as needed

multiple shifts available:
1st shifts start time varies between: 5:00am to 6:00am
2nd shifts start time varies between: 3:30pm to 5:00pm
3rd shifts start time varies between: 6:30pm to 7:00pm
candidates need to be flexible with: daily work hours required for the shift
can be asked to work any day of the week
shifts can run from 8 hours to 10 hours a day, plus overtime
