gi group are working in partnership with a very well known company based in pride park who are looking for a hr advisor to support the head of hr and hr team.

purpose of the role:
as a hr advisor you will ensure proactive and effective management of employment relations and absence matters across the site, provide generalist advice and support to managers across the hr spectrum; assist with hr projects on an ad hoc basis.
duties:
* to act as an advisor to managers on a range of operational human resource issues, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
* to provide a comprehensive, professional hr advice and support service to line managers across the service, across a range of employment relations issues
* to advise and support line managers in handling disciplinary cases
* to support managers in the resolution of grievances absence management
* to give advice and support to line managers on both short term and long-term absence, liaising with key stakeholders as appropriate
* to ensure robust systems and processes are in place to ensure comprehensive absence case history of an employee is available, including reason for absence and absence patterns
* to give regular progress updates to the head of hr / senior management team on individual absence cases
* to produce absence management activity reports and statistical data on a monthly basis
* to review the absence cases with a view to analysing and identifying trends
* to keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and human resources best practice
* to build and maintain relationships with clients (hr and/or line managers) to support them effectively with their key business and management issues reporting
personal attributes:
* cipd qualification or working towards
* strong hr generalist background
* end to end experience in managing absence
* experience of providing advice within hr management team
