primary responsibilities for warehouse associates include:  

receiving material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly

verifying he quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list

preparing a receiving report if none are available

examining incoming shipments and rejecting damaged items

appropriately report/record any discrepancies
