they are recruiting for a hgv mechanic working on 35 hgv vehicles, 225 vans and other plant equipment.
the role:
you will work as part of a team of 5, reporting into the workshop supervisor you will be responsible for supporting the fleet and plant operations ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high-quality standard, timely and meet all regulatory requirements.
what you will be responsible for?
fully inspect vehicles in the workshop, identifying any defects and correcting where necessaryundertake vehicle repairs when they arisecarry out pre-planned servicing and mot preparationsattend onsite breakdowns
hours of work
monday to friday 7am to 5pm
on call rota 1 in every 4 weeks. **on call rate payable plus callout bonus
weekend work available
what knowledge, skills & abilities do you require?
3 years plus hgv mechanic experiencehold a full, industry recognised qualification (city & guilds / nvq level 3 in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair)class 2 driving licence essential – class 1 desirableability to work well under pressureteam playerability to use own initiativeattention to detailproblem solving skills
