we are a popular village pub. we have a comfortable bar and our restaurant is furnished with traditional tables and chairs. live music on a saturday night, and poker night on wednesday nights. all major sporting events are shown on sky sports and bt sport.

there is a varied menu with fresh fish, game and meat available throughout the year. the restaurant prides itself on homemade freshly cooked meals using locally sourced produce and there is also a specials board.

due to continued growth, we are looking for new front of house staff to join our team.

job description

provide the service of food & drink in the bar and restaurant. set, serve and clear tables. interact with customers and deliver a high standard of customer service to every person.

key responsibilities:

- promote friendly, efficient & effective relationships with all customers and team members

- take and deliver food & drink orders to our guests with fantastic customer service

- serve customers behind the bar

- help prepare the bar for service

- replenish stock items when needed

- set and clear tables to divisional standards

- maintain a high level of cleanliness in the restaurant and bar at all times

- maintain the standards of personal hygiene, dress and appearance as detailed by senior management at all times

- drive sales by up-selling at every opportunity. carry out any reasonable request that may be made by the senior management and/or any other member of the management team

- attend staff meetings as and when required
