adecco is currently assisting a local client, recruiting for a bilingual eng/spa accounts payable specialist in doral, fl. this position is a temp to hire opportunity.
the bilingual accounts payable specialist supports the finance department.
job description:
huge volume of accounts payable invoices and payments
cut weekly checks as indicated by company regulations.
prepare wires and prepayments. check off monthly expenses as they come in to speed up month end
coding invoices: codes expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
follow up on invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
monitoring discount opportunities
receiving inventory
match packing slip, po, and other documentation with vendor invoices
apply any freight/misc. charges
reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
reports sales taxes by calculating requirements
respond to all vendor inquiries
sort and distribute incoming mail
update and maintain the vendor maintenance profile
verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
verifying federal tax ids-1099 maintenance
assist in month-end closing
provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations
maintain inventory and vendor files. assure paperless scanning documents are accurate.
perform other related duties as required
candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the accounts payable specialist:
previous experience as an accounts payable specialist minimum 2 years
microsoft suite is a must
detailed-oriented, fast learner, organized
billingual english/spanish a must
