Human resource manager - united states, honolulu

responsibilities:

  • develop and implement best practices, policies, and short and long-range objectives.
  • oversee all onboarding and offboarding initiatives as well as the new employee orientation program to foster a positive onboarding experience
  • work with third-party provider to manage benefit enrolment and administration for employee health, dental, and retirement benefit plans
  • ensure accurate and lawful compliance with the hiring process, employee handbook, and records
  • maintain important employee files and records with a high level of confidentiality
  • manage required employee training to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements as well as best practices
  • monitor human resource management legislation, trends, and best practices to ensure the organization is following current industry processes and procedures
  • bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • develop and monitor overall hr strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • nurture a positive working environment
  • oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • report to management and provide decision support through hr metrics
  • ability to influence change and foster an environment of inclusion for all employees.
  • skills in employee engagement and problem solving with diverse populations.
  • experience with working in a rapid and complex changing environment driven by continuous innovation.
  • knowledge and application of hr fundamentals.

  • experience in coaching and supporting leaders in onboarding and talent management.
  • experience working in mid-size organizations with more than 200 staff
  • experience working with employees in multiple states
  • experience working with a high level of contract staff
  • experience working with offshore resources
  • may also oversee office facility and maintenance operations.

  • interest in the tech industry
  • qualifications:

  • proven working experience as hr manager or other hr executive
  • 10+ years of human resources generalist experience
  • 5+ years in a human resource management role
  • bachelor’s degree in hr, hr management or equivalent experience
  • experience working with benefits administration systems
  • people oriented and results driven
  • demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • knowledge of hr systems and databases
  • ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • this is an in-office position requiring proof of covid-19 vaccination.
